Proton Preve Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Proton Preve cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. The average price in October was of RM 34,702. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at RM 34,003 during November. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from RM 34,352.5 to RM 35,226.5. The average price has had spectacular rise of 45 % with an average price of RM 34,789.5 during the previous 4 months and RM 50,384 during the most recent months in February and March.
The average price for Proton Preve has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2012 and 2015, the average price is RM 19,472.5. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2012 (RM 18,196) moving up till (RM 21,960)in 2015. During the next two years (2016, 2017) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 47 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 11 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (RM 32,087.25) and the the last two years that were studied (2018, 2019) with a price of RM 35,609.
The graph that displays the price for Proton Preve cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "more than 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 69 % more affordable than the average price (RM 43,636). Next with a price of RM 23,487 and a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most expensive cars is "less than 10,000". It is 23% more costly than the average market value followed by those vehicles with a mileage of "50,000 - 100,000" and a price of RM 32,772.
