Proton Wira Vehicles have gone through a slight rise in their retail price recently. The prices for this particular model have risen.
The retail prices for Proton Wira cars have increased during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in October the average price was RM 12,481. November went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till RM 14,687. During the following two months (December, January) the average selling price rose somewhat going from RM 13,584 to RM 15,212. In the last two, the price has gone through a -13 % devaluation compared to the previous average values going down from RM 14,398 to RM 12,472.5 during February and March.
The average price for Proton Wira has gone through a significant depreciation in recent years. During the first sample analyzed, going from "before 2000" to 2005, the average price was RM 6,410.57. Please take note of of the significant depreciation in the prices between "before 2000" (RM 9,540) and 2005 (RM 5,814). During the next two years the average price(RM 6,441) has hardly changed, remaining at a constant value compared to the previous period. During the last two years the price has remained constant with regard to the previous 4 years, going from an average price of RM 6,504 in 2008 and RM 6,567 during 2009.
The graph that displays the price for Proton Wira cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "25,000 - 50,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 52 % more affordable than the average price (RM 11,757). Next with a price of RM 5,837 and a mileage range of "less than 10,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "100,000 - 200,000". It is 20% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "50,000 - 100,000" priced at RM 7,155.
