BMW Vehicles have gone through a slight rise in their retail price recently. The prices for this particular model have risen.
The retail prices for BMW cars have increased during the last 6 months. The average price in February was of RM 681,182. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at RM 705,685 during March. During the following two months (April, May) the average selling price rose somewhat going from RM 693,433.5 to RM 740,104.5. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from RM 716,769 to RM 712,740 during June and July.
The average price for BMW has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2016, the average price is RM 181,725.83. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" (RM 64,472) moving up till (RM 403,084)in 2016. During the next two years (2017, 2018) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 160 %. During the last two years, the car industry has had a strong deflation in its selling prices of -15 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from analysing the prices for the the preceding four years in a previous sample (RM 410,642.5) and the the last two years (2019, 2020) with a price of RM 348,521.
The graph that displays the price for BMW cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "more than 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 96 % more affordable than the average price (RM 702,923). Next with a price of RM 133,752 and a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "less than 10,000". It is 1% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "10,000 - 25,000" priced at RM 382,701.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for BMW cars points out to "Diesel" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 79 % less expensive than the average market price (RM 702,923) followed by "Gasoline" priced at RM 548,911. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Gasoline". It´s price is 22 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Diesel" with a price of RM 145,852.
The graph showing the average price for BMW cars displays those with 5 doors as the cheapest ones. They are 78 % more affordable than the average price (RM 702,923). These are followed by those with 2 doors with an average price of RM 255,811. Cars with the lowest price have 4 doors and are 60 % cheaper than the average previously displayed.
