BMW Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for BMW cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. In September the price for a car is RM 627,195 increasing till RM 712,181 in October. During the following two months (November, December) the average selling price rose somewhat going from RM 669,688 to RM 732,828. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from RM 701,258 to RM 726,249.5 during January and February.
The average price for BMW has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2020, the average price is RM 108,332.73. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" (RM 20,432) moving up till (RM 446,415)in 2020. During the next two years (2021, 2022) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 340 %. During the last two years, the car industry has had a strong deflation in its selling prices of -15 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from analysing the prices for the the preceding four years in a previous sample (RM 414,384) and the the last two years (2023, 2024) with a price of RM 352,076.5.
The graph that displays the price for BMW cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "more than 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 97 % more affordable than the average price (RM 721,369). Next with a price of RM 152,133 and a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "less than 10,000". It is 14% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "10,000 - 25,000" priced at RM 619,721.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for BMW cars points out to "Diesel" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 93 % less expensive than the average market price (RM 721,369) followed by "Hybrid" priced at RM 211,750. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Gasoline". It´s price is 15 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Hybrid" with a price of RM 211,750.
The graph showing the average price for BMW cars displays those with 2 doors as the cheapest ones. They are 91 % more affordable than the average price (RM 721,369). These are followed by those with 5 doors with an average price of RM 70,494. Cars with the lowest average price have 4 !doors and are 88 % cheaper than the average followed by those with 3 doors with a selling price of RM 73,387.
