Chery Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Chery cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in October the average price was RM 30,795. November went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till RM 47,984. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from RM 39,389.5 to RM 38,086. The average price has had spectacular rise of 35 % with an average price of RM 38,737.75 during the previous 4 months and RM 52,261 during the most recent months in February and March.
The average price for Chery has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2006 and 2014, the average price is RM 11,425.14. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2006 (RM 4,650) moving up till (RM 24,350)in 2014. During the next two years (2015, 2016) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 169 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone through a strong rise of 60 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This was taken from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (RM 77,546.5) and the the last two years that have been analyzed (2023, 2024) with a price of RM 124,304.5.
