The selling price for Mercedes Benz Classe C cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. The average price in September was of RM 294,811. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at RM 293,337 during October. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from RM 294,074 to RM 286,810. In the last two months, the price has gone through a strong devaluation of -53 % compared to the 4 previous average values going down from RM 290,442 to RM 136,822.
The average price for Mercedes Benz Classe C has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2007 and 2019, the average price is RM 89,914.09. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2007 (RM 34,450) moving up till (RM 165,421)in 2019. During the next two years (2020, 2021) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 104 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone through a strong rise of 22 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This was taken from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (RM 233,506.5) and the the last two years that have been analyzed (2022, 2023) with a price of RM 283,831.5.
