Perodua Kenari Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for Perodua Kenari cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. The average price in September was of RM 13,615. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at RM 13,513 during October. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from RM 13,564 to RM 13,007. In the last two months, the price has gone through a strong devaluation of -51 % compared to the 4 previous average values going down from RM 13,285.5 to RM 6,458.
The average price for Perodua Kenari has gone through a significant depreciation in recent years. During the first sample analyzed, going from 2000 to 2005, the average price was RM 9,855. Please take note of of the significant depreciation in the prices between 2000 (RM 13,127) and 2005 (RM 9,840). During the next two years the average price(RM 9,445.5) has hardly changed, remaining at a constant value compared to the previous period. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone through a strong rise of 18 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This was taken from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (RM 11,519.25) and the the last two years that have been analyzed (2008, 2009) with a price of RM 13,593.
