Proton Perdana Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Proton Perdana cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. The average price in July was of RM 54,188. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at RM 54,839 during August. During the following two months (September, October) the average selling price rose somewhat going from RM 54,513.5 to RM 61,840.5. The average price has had spectacular rise of 18 % with an average price of RM 58,177 during the previous 4 months and RM 68,405 during the most recent months in November and December.
The average price for Proton Perdana has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2014, the average price is RM 13,227.33. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" (RM 7,406) moving up till (RM 56,108)in 2014. During the next two years (2015, 2016) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 298 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 8 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (RM 56,870.75) and the the last two years that were studied (2017, 2018) with a price of RM 61,159.5.
The graph that displays the price for Proton Perdana cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "more than 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 89 % more affordable than the average price (RM 67,918). Next with a price of RM 11,686 and a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "25,000 - 50,000". It is 23% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "50,000 - 100,000" priced at RM 43,873.
