Proton Saga Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for Proton Saga cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. In March the average price per vehicle is RM 56,402. During April the price went trough a strong deflation till RM 41,111. The following two months (May, June) the selling price went through a devaluation of -13 percent in the average selling price compared to the previous two months analyzed. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from RM 45,497.25 to RM 43,698 during July and August.
The average price for Proton Saga has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2018, the average price is RM 13,876.15. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" (RM 5,301) moving up till (RM 29,759)in 2018. During the next two years (2019, 2020) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 152 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 7 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (RM 37,443.5) and the the last two years that were studied (2021, 2022) with a price of RM 39,919.5.
The graph that displays the price for Proton Saga cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "more than 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 81 % more affordable than the average price (RM 43,973). Next with a price of RM 22,993 and a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "less than 10,000". It is 0% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "10,000 - 25,000" priced at RM 34,593.
The graph displaying the average price for vehicles with doors shows that Proton Saga automobiles with the cheapest price have 5 doors. They are 87 % cheaper than the average price for this model priced at RM 5,500. Cars with the lowest price have 4 doors and are 7 % cheaper than the average previously displayed.
